Privacy
Short version: you can use the forecast without an account. We only ask for your email when you want us to write to you, we never sell it, and we don't use ad trackers.
Who we are
Turbulence Radar (turbulenceradar.com) is an independent service. Contact: support@turbulenceradar.com.
What we collect
- Your email, if you join the waitlist or ask for alerts, with the date, the page you signed up from, and your browser's user agent (to filter spam).
- Flights you check (flight number and date) to make the forecast. They are not linked to you unless you save a trip.
- Basic, cookieless usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate country) to improve the site. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
- Payments (later) are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Why
To send the emails you asked for (consent), to run and secure the service (legitimate interest), and to process purchases (contract).
Where it is stored
Emails and trips are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Email is sent through our email provider. These processors only act on our instructions.
How long
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Waitlist emails are deleted 24 months after the last contact.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time by writing to support@turbulenceradar.com. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. If you are in the EU, UK or California, you also have the rights given by GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA, including complaining to your data protection authority.
Children
The service is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
